Events at UNCG

Events, both internal and external facing, no longer need to be approved by the COVID leadership team. Events must adhere to the University’s COVID-19 standards. 

Events organizers should not enact COVID-19 protocols more restrictive than current University protocols without receiving prior approval from the UNCG COVID-19 Strategic Planning Team. Please use the COVID-19 Questions Portal to make this request.

Student clubs and organizations should consult with the current guidelines provided by Campus Activities and Programs (CAP) for additional guidance on events and activities. 

UNCG COVID-19 Event Standards

Capacity 

  • There is no limit to the number of participants at outdoor events.
  • Indoor events are limited to the occupancy rating of the given space being used. 

Face Coverings

  • Face coverings are encouraged but no longer required as of March 7, 2022.

Food

Effective March 7, 2022, food and drink will now be allowed at events, and the RSVP and event sign-in processes are no longer required. Capacity limits are at the discretion of the organizer.

Vaccination and Testing Requirements

  • Events should not require proof of COVID-19 vaccination or proof of a negative test without receiving approval to do so from the UNCG COVID-19 Strategic Planning Team. Please use the COVID-19 Questions Portal to make this request.
